Prof. Ganwei Cai, Guangxi University, China

Prof. Cai Ganwei graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in March 1998 with a Doctor's degree in engineering. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Central South University from 1998 to 2000. From November 2009 to May 2010, he was a visiting scholar at King's College London. 2001-2003 Professor and doctoral supervisor in School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In September 2003, he was transferred to the School of Mechanical Engineering of Guangxi University (from November 2006 to August 2018, he was the dean). He was named professor in July 2000 and doctoral supervisor in June 2002. In 2003, he was selected as one of the "Ten hundred thousand" talents in Guangxi, in 2013, he was rated as a second-level professor, won the title of "Guangxi Excellent Expert", and enjoyed the special government allowance of The State Council in 2015. He has presided over and completed 5 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than 200 papers in international and domestic academic journals and conferences, of which more than 100 have been included by SCI and EI. It has obtained 186 authorized invention patents. He won the second prize of Guangxi Natural Science Award, the third prize of Guangxi Technological Invention Award.

1998年3月毕业于华中理工大学，获工学博士学位。1998-2000年在中南大学作博士后研究。2009年11月-2010年5月在英国伦敦大学国王学院作访问学者。2001-2003年在华中科技大学机械科学与工程学院任教授、博士生导师。2003年9月调来广西大学机械工程学院工作（2006年11月-2018年8月任院长）。2000年7月评为教授职称，2002年6月评为博士生导师。2003年度入选广西"十百千"人才，2013年评为二级教授、获"广西优秀专家"称号，2015年享受国务院政府特殊津贴。已主持完成国家自然科学基金项目5项。在国际、国内学术刊物及学术会议发表论文200多篇，其中100多篇被SCI、EI收录。已获得授权发明专利186件。获广西自然科学奖二等奖、广西技术发明奖三等奖、广西工业设计奖等。已培养博士后、博士20多人、硕士70多人。
