President of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Yanshan University, the director of National Engineering Research Center for Equipment and Technology of Cold Strip Rolling. Committed to the research in the field of green and intelligent production of advanced metal materials. Mainly devoted to the research on the basic theory of advanced metal materials, production intelligent measurement and control equipment technology, traditional process reengineering and short process equipment technology, and quality control of metal materials in-service life cycle. Presided over a number of projects such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Key Project of Natural Science Foundation of Hebei Province and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. Published more than 200 papers in domestic and international journals, published 1 monograph, formulated 2 national standards, and authorized more than 30 invention patents. Has won 2 Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Awards and 7 First Prize of Provincial and Ministerial Level Awards.

现任燕山大学机械工程学院院长，国家冷轧板带装备及工艺工程技术研究中心主任。国家万人计划科技创新领军人才，新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选，国务院特殊津贴专家，河北省省管优秀专家，中国金属学会冶金青年科技奖获得者，全国冶金设备标准化技术委员会委员，中国金属学会智能制造标准化技术委员会委员，中国金属学会冶金设备分会副主任委员，第十一届全国青联委员。长期从事先进金属材料绿色智能化生产领域的研究，主要致力于先进金属材料基础理论、生产智能测控装备技术、传统流程再造及短流程装备技术和金属材料服役全生命周期质量管控等方面。先后主持国家科技支撑计划、国家重点研发计划、国家自然科学基金、河北省自然科学基金重点和杰出青年基金等多项课题。在国内外刊物发表论文200余篇，出版专著1部，制定国家标准2项，授权发明专利30余项。获国家科技进步二等奖2项，省部级一等奖7项。
